Danielle - Update 12/7/09

As I'm sure most of my readers know, Danielle was in a car accident on Sunday, December 6th in Missouri. Although she didn't hit anything, she did slide into a ditch and cause a (as far as we know right now) fracture to her L1 vertebrae. No paralysis, but she will have to do some physical therapy.

If anyone has more info, or would like to get a hold of Danielle, please let me know!!!

I do know that she is at St. Luke's in Kansas City, MO.
4401 Wornall RdKansas City, MO 64111(816) 932-2000 **Room 1432???

Hope you get better soon, little sister!!!!!!!!!!! We love you.

Well, maybe the flatter belly part......

THIS MAKES GOOD SENSE

I would never trade my amazing friends, my wonderful life, my loving family for less gray hair or a flatter belly. As I've aged, I've become kinder to myself, and less critical of myself. I've become my own friend.. I don't chide myself for eating that extra cookie, or for not making my bed, or for buying that silly cement gecko that I didn't need, but looks so avante garde on my patio. I am entitled to a treat, to be messy, to be extravagant. I have seen too many dear friends leave this world too soon; before they understood the great freedom that comes with aging.Whose business is it if I choose to read or play on the computer until 4 AM and sleep until noon? I will dance with myself to those wonderful tunes of the 60 &70's, and if I, at the same time, wish to weep over a lost love ... I will.

I will walk the beach in a swim suit that is stretched over a bulging body, and will dive into the waves with abandon if I choose to, despite the pitying glances from the jet set. They, too, will get old.

I know I am sometimes forgetful. But there again, some of life is just as well forgotten. And I eventually remember the important things.Sure, over the years my heart has been broken. How can your heart not break when you lose a loved one, or when a child suffers, or even when somebody's beloved pet gets hit by a car? But broken hearts are what give us strength and understanding and compassion. A heart never broken is pristine and sterile and will never know the joy of being imperfect.

I am so blessed to have lived long enough to have my hair turning gray, and to have my youthful laughs be forever etched into deep grooves on my face.
So many have never laughed, and so many have died before their hair could turn silver.

As you get older, it is easier to be positive. You care less about what other people think. I don't question myself anymore.I've even earned the right to be wrong. So, to answer your question, I like being old. It has set me free. I like the person I have become. I am not going to live forever, but while I am still here, I will not waste time lamenting what could have been, or worrying about what will be. And I shall eat dessert every single day(if I feel like it).

CHANGE!!!!!!!!

good morning!!

I may be changing over to a Shutterfly.com Share Site - i will be able to add you as a member, and you can make comments, order pictures, and NOT be a member of Shutterfly to do so. The site will also send you notifications (weekly, daily, monthly) when there are updates made to the site by me or Matt. Useful, no? I know not everyone trawls the Internet like I do every day - this way, you wont have to go looking just to see if I've done an update to it.

There is also an interactive Calendar (pending to see if Members can add to the Calendar - that would be *GREAT*) so that we can all keep up with what everyone else is doing! :)

You can check it out as long as you have the site (below), and email me at honeybee21@hotmail.com if you WANT me to make you a member (then you can tell me how cute Gracie and Tyler are right on the site! hehe)

THE NEW SITE:

Send me an email!!!!!!!

Field Trip to the Pumpkin Farm

Gracie, Matt, and the Preschool 4 class went to Johansen Farms Pumpkin Patch on October 13. They got to pet the animals at the petting zoo, explore the corn maze, take a hayride, and pick out their own pumpkins! Even Matt got a pumpkin!

Gracie and the kids, hangin out.....

Gracie and Daddy - SELF-PORTRAIT!!!!!

Look at the cute little piggy!!! Her head fits quite well in there.... :)

Going through the corn maze! She's a tiny adventurer :)

The "Gracie Face" - rising star!

Waiting for the train ride around the farm....

The Hayride!! The girl on the left side is Miss Melissa, and the one in the middle is Miss Amanda, the head of the Preschool 4 classroom. Next to Gracie in the pink jacket is her friend Victoria, behind Gracie to the right is Alesha, and Beth is in the back with the bright pink hat. Gracie calls them "my friends" :)

Happy Halloween!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
